First E.P of original music from new London based group Chimera Trio. Inspired by the organ lead bands of the late 60s the group fuses elements of the organ tradition with more contemporary grooves, melodic ideas and improvisations.
It features the unusual line up of just trumpet, organ and drums which allows the group to focus on the individual voices of each instrument within their original compositions.
From the more groove based tunes of King Kong and Party Favours to the swing of Lost but Found, Chimera aims to bring a fresh sound to the organ trio dynamic.
